Treason

They ask us to donate to their campaigns
But they refuse to take action if we complain
Now they can poison our water and steal our land
How can this stand?
We do not betray their faith in our vote
Special interests and lobbyists are the only ones for whom they tote
Some are good and do what they can
Most only have making themselves richer as their plan
How do we change this lack of reason?
When it is so apparent that they are committing treason

How did we get here?
So much hate, so much fear.
Every time I see the news,
nothing to report but the blues.
Once we were great, and now it ain't so.
Something has to change and something has to go.
Who will lead us out of this shit?
They all appear to be a bunch of twits.
If your family was as dysfunctional as Congress,
they would all be in funny farms so they could do no more harm.
Republicans hate democrats.
Democrats hate republicans.
No wisdom, just bullshit rants.
Great, where does that leave Americans doing their best?
